Plutopia Production’s Chief Creative Officer, Derek Woodgate has been invited to be the keynote speaker and panelist at RISE Music “The Musical Entrepreneur”, part of RISE Austin’s Rise Week on 30th March 2012 at Ruta Maya on South Congress in Austin, TX.

Derek will speak on the Future of Music and The Music Industry especially aimed at entrepreneurs. He will also participate in a panel on The New Direction Of the Music Biz — and what it means for music entrepreneurs, musicians, and fans.“.

Plutopia Productions Inc. wins another corporate event assignment!

Austin-based, “sense event” experts, Plutopia Productions , Inc. in association with our sister company, The Futures Lab, Inc. were recently awarded a contract to develop content on The Future Of Indonesia for GMR Marketing, one of the world’s largest engagement marketing agencies. Headquartered in New Berlin, Wisconsin, it has 25 offices in 12 countries on four continents.

The project involved creating interactive displays aimed at demonstrating key aspects of Indonesian society with its vibrant population driving the “Unity in Diversity” principles throughout the coming decades, as well as its culture of active citizenry, the potential road to IBRIC, its strategies for a sustainable future and internal and international investment in advanced technology solutions in the region.

British multi-media artist to exhibit and perform at Plutopia 2012: The Future of Imagination

Stanza is a London based British artist who specializes in interactive art, networked spaces, installations and performances. Stanza’s artworks explore artistic and technical opportunities to enable new aesthetic perspectives, experiences and perceptions within context of architecture, data spaces and online environments.

His award winning online projects have been invited for exhibition in digital festivals around the world.

Work has centered on the idea of the building as a new display system and various projects have been made using live data, the use of live data in architectural space, and how it can be made into meaningful representations. See ‘Publicity’, ‘Robotica’, ‘Sensity’, as well as a whole series of work manipulating real time CCTV data to making artworks with them: See, ‘Velocity’, ‘Authenticity’, ‘Urban Generation’. These works reform the data, work with the idea of bringing data from outside into the inside, and then present it back out again in open ended systems where the public is often engaged in or directly embedded in the artwork.

Stanza’s work crosses borders between artistic, technological and scientific sectors. He creates participatory digital artworks that invite viewers to guide data flows or to simply observe self-generating compositions. His digital paintings shift through abstract and iconic patterns, which people can explore akin to virtual environments. Interactive and visually appealing, his style also maintains the substantive power through multi-facetted content.

Some of Stanzas most well known projects include: – The Emergent City, visual artworks informed by critical analysis of city spaces. Genomixer is a series of online artworks made using the artists DNA sequence. Soundcities an online database system of thousands of city sounds and city maps. Sensity where Stanza has scattered hundreds of sensors across London to collect data about the environment. Urban Generation uses live CCTV and making online representations of the real time city.

As outputs to his research over the last twenty five years Stanza has made installations, videos, paintings, software and public artworks. Violinist Mari Kimura – Making computers more interactive for 21st-century string players

In 2012, Plutopia Productions will be working with NYC-based violinist Mari Kimura, whofor the past 4 years has been  working with IRCAM (Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique), the noted French institute for science and music founded by modernist composer Pierre Boulez, on its Augmented Violin system.
