Plutopia 2012: The Future of Imagination
Imagination is the work of the mind. Imagination is the ability of forming mental images, sensations and concepts, in a moment when they are not perceived through sight, hearing or other senses. Imagination helps provide meaning to experience and understanding to knowledge; it is a fundamental facility through which we make sense of the world and it also plays a key role in the learning process. The more fertile the imagination, the greater potential for innovation, wealth generation and human advancement.
The Future of Imagination is the theme for Plutopia 2012, to be held in Austin, TX on 8th March 2012, on the eve of the opening of SXSW 2012. Given imagination’s direct connection to sensation, what better way to celebrate Plutopia Productions 5th year in a row, of producing a spectacular, exhilarating signature “sense event” linked to SXSW.
